Introduction
We aim to cater for the needs of all visitors in our home based 2 bedroom
bed and breakfast. The following statement is a summary of our provision.

Pre-Arrival

There is a bus stop on the main road between Stroud & Cirencester at the
bottom of Old Neighbourhood. To get to the house from there, involves a
five minute walk up a very steep incline.

The closest railway station is in Stroud - 6.4km away approximately 15
minutes away by car. Taxis are readily available at the station.

Literature and
menus can be provided in large print by prior arrangement.

We have a website with photographs of each guest room & en-suite, stating
it's location.

Arrival & Car Parking
Facilities
-
There is ample, safe parking at the rear of the property, spaces are
indicated by posts, but guests are welcome to unload their luggage at the
front door.

Assistance with luggage is always available.
-
The surface is flat, level gravel.
-
The area is lit by mains lighting from dawn to dusk.
Main Entrance & Reception
Public Areas - General
(Internal)

The whole of the floor area with the exception of en-suites & bathroom is
fully carpeted.

The hallway is mainly in excess of 1260mm wide but it does reduce to 860mm
leading through to the stairs.

The staircase has 6 steps up to a half landing & the a further 7 steps to
the main landing which is a minimum of 1200mm wide.
Public Areas - WC
Restaurant / Dining Room, Bar
& Lounges, Take Away & Cafe

Breakfast is served in the dining room on the ground floor or in the
courtyard which is accessed through French doors out of the dining room. A
step down of 300mm is necessary to get out into the courtyard.

Furniture is
flexible and can be moved on request.

An oval table with an under space of 710mm is supported by 2 pedestal
legs.

There are chairs with and without arms which can be moved to accommodate.

Menus can be provided in large print, on request.

Full waitress service can be provided.

We do not play background music in any area of the bed & breakfast.

Bedrooms

There are 2 bedrooms, one on the ground floor & one on the first floor,
both fitted with secure locks & energy saving lamps, where possible.

The ground floor room (The Stroud) has a bedroom door width of 760mm
opening in. The room has a king size bed which is 650mm high and has a
minimum clearance at the foot of 360mm. To the side of the bed there is a
minimum clearance of 700mm to one side & 1250mm to the other. The room is
equipped with remote control TV & beverage making facilities. Details of
the en-suite facilities are listed below.

The first floor room (The Cirencester) has a door width of 750mm opening
in. The room has a king size bed which is 560mm high and has a clearance at
the foot of 480mm. There is a minimum clearance of 700mm at one side &
1250mm at the other of the bed. The room is equipped with remote control
colour TV & beverage making facilities. Details of the en-suite facilities
are listed below.
Bathroom, Shower-room & WC [En-suite
or Shared]

The Stroud en-suite door width of 680mm opening out. The wall mounted
vanity basin height is 930mm & there is a minimum space of 180mm either side
of the toilet. The shower is accessed by sliding doors & 220mm step up.
The floor is tiled. & the basin fitted with lever operated taps.

The Cirencester en-suite has twin basins on the vanity unit which are 940mm
high & the minimum space around each side of the toilet 220mm. This
shower is also accessed by sliding doors with a step up of 210mm. The floor
is oak & the basins are fitted with lever operated taps.
Grounds and Gardens
-
We have a large natural garden, visited by a variety of wildlife (deer,
foxes, squirrels, badgers etc. It can be best viewed from the sitting
areas listed below.

The Courtyard - an enclosed, flat, gravelled area with tables & chairs.

The Front Patio - an open elevated, paved area accessed by 3 low steps
(totalling 380mm) with table & chairs.

Front of house - an open, level, gravelled area with wooden bench.
Additional Information
-
All bedrooms & inside public areas are none smoking.
-
We regret we are unable to accommodate animals (with the exception of
Guide Dogs) & children under 7 years.

Guest bedrooms are fitted with linked mains smoke detectors.

We are happy to store medication in our fridge, by request.
-
Mobile phone reception is generally good.

Future Plans
We are considering the introduction of a temporary ramp for use at the
front door & to give access to the Courtyard from the dining room, within
the next year.
